As well as making their famous recorders, Dolmetsch also make a
variety of other early instruments. Loads of information and useful
links. The only thing they aren't set up for is buying online, but

Rois
An ever growing and developing organisation who has done much to
increase the profile, performance of and access to traditional music in Ross
& Cromarty. Their popular festival weekends are a great opportunity to
improve your playing skills or even learn a new instrument with an amazing
range of tutors. |
Ceolas
Ceòlas is a unique summer school, with the focus very much on Gaelic culture
in all its mediums, from piping to dancing to the language itself, and all
set in the beautiful surroundings of South Uist.

What looks like an amazing festival in France where over 100 instrument
makers are invited to show their work, as well as concerts showcasing more
unusual music. Some of the instruments on show include hurdy-gurdies,
cornemuses and a whole variety of bagpipes.
